Bessemer City Middle School Wins Robotics Competition

A team of seventh-grade students from Bessemer City Middle School achieved a major victory, claiming the Championship title in the Fall 2025 CoderZ League Robotics Competition on Nov. 5, 2025. The team, known as the Bessemer Warriors, was led by teacher Yuvraj Verma. The Warriors outlasted more than 120 competing teams from across the nation to secure the top spot. The school's other two competing teams also performed exceptionally well in the finals. The Bessemer’s Bad Witches secured a strong second-place finish, while the Techno Tigers rounded out the school’s success with a respectable 16th-place finish.

School administrators, including Principal Dominique Moore and Assistant Principals Darral Grace Bethel and Sarah Person, extended their congratulations to the students and Mr. Verma for the impressive showing on the national stage.
